Consultation fee acceptance

All consultations of patients without a medical aid and available benefits are payable on the day of visit, an admission fee of R600 is payable to the medical centre, balance of your treatment and bill will be payable on discharge.

Depending on type, 3–10 years.

Hormonal IUDs often lighten bleeding; copper may increase flow initially.

What IUD options are available at West Med?

We offer three trusted IUDs: – Kyleena (hormonal, 5 years, low dose, smaller size) – Mirena (hormonal, 5 years, higher dose, often reduces heavy bleeding) – Copper IUD (non-hormonal, 5–10 years, hormone-free option)

How long does the procedure take?

The insertion itself usually takes 10–15 minutes, but with preparation and recovery, you should allow around 60–90 minutes at the clinic.
