West-Med Medical Centre Somerset West is a modern medical centre providing comprehensive healthcare services, including general practice, urgent care, pathology and radiology. We specialise in chronic conditions, paediatric care, minor surgery and urgent care for acute health issues.
Located on the first floor of The Sanctuary Shopping Centre, we welcome new patients and accept most medical schemes and self-paying patients.

How do I make an appointment?
Call 021 490 4380, message us on WhatsApp on 068 923 6287, email Reception@West-Med.co.za, or use the enquiry form on this page. Walk-ins are welcome for urgent care.
Do you accept medical aids?
We accept most major medical schemes as well as self-paying patients. Bring your medical aid card to your first visit and reception will confirm your cover before you are seen.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your ID, your medical aid card if you have one, a list of any medication you take, and any recent test results or referral letters. If you are bringing a child, bring their clinic card.
What does a consultation cost?
Fees depend on the service and how long the consultation takes. We explain costs up front, before you are treated, so nothing arrives as a surprise on your account. Ask reception when you book.
Do you charge extra for urgent care?
Urgent care is billed differently to a standard consultation because of the time and resources it takes. Reception will tell you what to expect when you arrive.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please let us know at least a day in advance. Cancelling later than that means the slot usually goes unused, and a cancellation fee may be applied to your account.
